How to choose the right ebike phone mount

• Measure your handlebar first. The BiKGrip ships with inserts covering 22-33mm, which is the vast majority of ebike and bike bars. Measure the diameter at the spot where you actually want the mount to sit, not at the grips or the stem clamp, since bars often taper.
• Bars outside that range? Some oversized ebike bars and some aero or riser bars fall outside 22-33mm. In that case look at our ElastoKase universal phone mount or the strap-style Handy Phone Clamp, both of which are more forgiving on odd bar shapes.
• Think about how often you swap bikes. If your phone lives on one bike permanently, most mounts will do. The BiKGrip earns its place when you move it constantly, because it goes on and off without tools.

Can I rotate between portrait and landscape?

Yes. The mount rotates between portrait and landscape and also tilts vertically, so you can set the viewing angle for navigation, ride tracking, or filming.

Will it stay put on rough roads?

Yes, as long as you secure it properly, and there are two steps people miss. Use the extra latch to lock the phone in, and make sure the quick release is fully seated and tight on the bars. Do both and it holds on genuinely rough terrain. Skip either one and you are relying on the primary clamp alone.

Will it work with a big phone in a thick case?

Yes. We have run large phones in bulky, heavy-duty cases without trouble. The lever-lock clamps around the phone instead of dropping it into a fixed pocket, so case thickness is not the limiting factor.

Will it press my power or volume buttons?

This is the one thing worth checking before your first ride, and almost nobody mentions it. Depending on where your phone's power and volume buttons sit, the clamp arms can land on them. In most cases you can rotate or reposition the phone so the arms clear the buttons entirely. Take a moment to find that orientation when you first mount it, rather than discovering it mid-ride.

Does it require tools to install?
