ChainKASE 4' Combination Ebike Chain Lock – 8mm Hardened Steel, No Keys
The same 8mm hardened-steel chain we sell in our key-operated ChainKASE, but with a resettable four-dial combination instead of a cylinder. Nothing to lose, nothing to carry, and you can set the code to something you will actually remember.
- 4-foot 8mm heavy-duty hardened-steel link chain
- Steel Ball Click Combo Gear System
- Resettable combination with 10,000 possible codes
- Nylon chain cover resists water and heat, and keeps the chain from scratching your frame
Read this before you buy — we sell two 4-foot ChainKASE locks at the same $49.99. The difference is how they open. This one uses a combination. The ChainKASE X-TREME uses our Z-Key cylinder with BumpBlok, which is built to resist picking, pulling, and drilling, and its chain is titanium-enforced hexagonal link.
Our honest read: if security is the priority, buy the X-TREME. A dial mechanism is inherently easier to defeat than a good anti-pick cylinder, and a thief with time and no witnesses will work the dials. Buy this one if you are locking up somewhere low-risk, if you share the bike with family and would rather hand out a code than cut keys, or if you have simply lost one too many sets of keys. Those are real reasons — just go in knowing the trade.
Need to chain two or three bikes together? The 7-foot ChainKASE runs the same chain at nearly double the reach for $20 more. Want something lighter that still opens wide? The folding Link Lock extends to 34" at 2 lbs. Our ebike lock buying guide compares the whole range.
As with any chain, the trade is weight and bulk — this does not clip tidily to a frame, so plan on a bag or over the shoulder.
