Be clear about what the cable is for. It is a deterrent against opportunistic wheel theft, not a security item in its own right, and any cable can be cut quickly with hand tools. The shackle is what secures your bike; the cable makes taking your wheels more trouble than it is worth. If your wheels are already bolted on rather than quick-release, save the $10 and buy the standalone UKASE MAX.

If you bought this specifically to lock a second bike, be aware you are relying on the cable to do it, and a cable is the weak link. Two bikes chained through an 8mm 7-foot ChainKASE is a much harder target than two bikes joined by a 10mm cable. It costs more and weighs considerably more, but it is the honest recommendation if a second bike is the point.
